To remain certified for the upcoming year, Certified Professional Environmental Educators must renew their certification by January 30th. Certification renewal allows you to remain connected to the EE community in Kentucky and remain on the list of certified educators. It also ensures that your knowledge and practices remain current.
To renew your certification, you must:
- complete three different methods of Continuing Education,
- complete and submit the Annual Continuing Education (C.E.) Report Form,
- sign and submit the Annual Code of Ethics Pledge,
- view the 1-hour Renewal Course webcast either live on December 6 at 10:00 a.m. or as a recording
- pay the $25 Renewal Course admission fee.
See the right sidebar for more information about these requirements.
2016-17 Course Graduates
If you graduated from the Professional Environmental Educator Certification course in June 2017, you must complete all renewal requirements except for the three methods of Continuing Education. You will receive feedback from the KEEC on the professional development plan in your C.E. Report.
Only graduates whose certification has been lapsed for 3 years or fewer will be eligible for reinstatement, and the Reinstatement Course fee will be $25 for those whose certification has been lapsed for one year, $50 for two years, and $75 for three years.
KEEC wishes to express special gratitude to all those who participate on the Certification Advisory Committee!
Kentucky wishes to express its gratitude to the certification programs of Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, Utah, and Texas for sharing materials, ideas, and technical assistance.
