Continuing Education

Certified Professional Environmental Educators must renew their certification each year. Certification renewal allows you to remain connected to the EE community in Kentucky and ensures that your knowledge and practices remain current.

To renew your certification, you must:

2023 Graduates

Those who completed their certification in 2023 must complete all renewal requirements except for continuing education.

Lapsed Certification

In order to regain your certified status in case your certification has lapsed, you must complete a reinstatement course in addition to the other continuing education requirements. First, contact wesley.bullock@ky.gov to confirm your certification status. Then, fill out the Reinstatement Course Application. [PDF, 381KB]

Only graduates whose certification has been lapsed for 3 years or fewer will be eligible for reinstatement, and the Reinstatement Course fee will be $25 for those whose certification has been lapsed for one year, $50 for two years, and $75 for three years.

Special Thanks

KEEC wishes to express special gratitude to all those who participate on the Certification Advisory Committee!

Kentucky wishes to express its gratitude to the certification programs of Georgia, Colorado, North Carolina, Utah, and Texas for sharing materials, ideas, and technical assistance.
