Passionate about the outdoors? Make your mark and help people of all ages connect with the natural world. Join the Environmental Education Leadership Corps (EELCorps).

Members can serve for a year or more, full-time or part-time, and will earn a living allowance, education award, and additional benefits. 

EELCorps currently has two positions open: 
-900-hour commitment with Boyle County Fiscal Court-Solid Waste​, and
-900 hour commitment with kNOw Waste Louisville.

Applications are accepted year-round for open and future positions.

Stories from the Field


KEEC is sharing stories about great environmental education work that can serve as inspiration and encourage best practices among EE practitioners.​​

Read about the Kentucky Nature Notebook, a new activity book that guides users of all ages to connect to Kentucky natural areas in fun and unique ways. KEEC's Environmental Education Leadership Corps member Abigail Way created the book with Carey Ruff of Kentucky State Parks, and with the help of other state agencies. Published with the support of the Kentucky Native Plant Society, the book will be offered for free in person at various locations and online as a downloadable file​.
