Partner with EELCorps

Recruitment for EELCorps service site partners for the 2026-2027 AmeriCorps service year has begun!

EELCorps service site partners are made up of Kentucky nonprofits, educational institutions, and governmental agencies that have a framework for environmental education, but need folks with a passion for the field of environmental education to bring their educational offerings to life. If you are an agency that could benefit from the service of an AmeriCorps member, please consider applying to partner with us, and send any questions to our Program Director, Ashley Mike at ashley.mike@ky.gov.

Join EELCorps

Passionate about the outdoors? Serve with AmeriCorps and help people of all ages connect with the natural world.

The Environmental Education Leadership Corps is sponsoring EELCorps AmeriCorps members at sites across the Commonwealth to lead environmental education. Help with summer camps, lead EE lessons, and help Kentuckians get engaged in their environment. Light the spark for a better tomorrow in your community!

Stories from the Field

KEEC is sharing stories about great environmental education work that can serve as inspiration and encourage best practices among EE practitioners.

Read about the Kentucky Nature Notebook, a new activity book that guides users of all ages to connect to Kentucky natural areas in fun and unique ways. KEEC's Environmental Education Leadership Corps member Abigail Way created the book with Carey Ruff of Kentucky State Parks, and with the help of other state agencies. Published with the support of the Kentucky Native Plant Society, the book will be offered for free in person at various locations and online as a downloadable file.

If you have a story to share, please contact Risa at Risa.Yost@ky.gov.
