Kentucky Interdisciplinary Units of Study

Units of Study 

New environment-based curricula, aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards, were developed as part of the process of implementing the Kentucky Environmental Literacy Plan:

Older Curricula

KEEC has published several guides aligned to previous Kentucky academic standards. Though the academic standards referenced in these documents may be outdated, the content and activities in the materials are still helpful as we teach our students critical thinking, problem-solving and how human and natural systems interrelate.

School Gardens (2012) 

In 2012, KEEC produced a video series highlighting the steps and factors involved when establishing a new school garden or outdoor classroom.  Examining the work done by the Paris Independent School District, the film series Feeding Bodies and Minds Through School Gardens is available below via our KEEC YouTube Channel.
